At The Good Bazaar, our mission is deeply personal. It's not about profits. It's about people. Specifically, our children.
Several years ago, our first child was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies and related conditions. I put my career on hold to care for him, consulting experts and managing his condition to hopefully make it better.
Shortly after, we had our second child. It felt like deja vu when we learned that he also could have a serious inflammatory condition. My husband and I couldn't help but ask ourselves: why was this happening? And what could we have done to prevent it?
After months of research, the reason became apparent: we have an overload of toxins in our homes. They cause our bodies to change dramatically at a cellular level, contributing to the dramatic rise in conditions like allergies, autoimmune diseases, cancer and even fertility issues.
I was inspired to make a change - not just for my children, but for parents everywhere. As I tried to eliminate toxins from my household, I found the process to be overly complicated. Essentially, you must have a masters degree in understanding labels, branding, and fine print to make the right decision. Otherwise, you risk putting yourself and your family in harm's way.
That wasn't a risk I felt comfortable taking. So The Good Bazaar was born. It's our family's one-stop shop for non-toxic natural and organic products.
